HVAC Configuration
HVAC stands for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. It refers to the systems that regulate and move heated and cooled air throughout residential and commercial buildings, from homes to offices to indoor stadiums. Although there are many options when it comes to HVAC systems, they all work similarly: taking in fresh air and using a mechanical ventilation system to heat or cool it to a desired temperature.
HVAC Configuration includes System Configuration, Equipment Configuration and Zone Configuration.
You can use it to:
- Bind the third-party system to Akila system. So the name between two systems can be matched.
Term | Description |
---|---|
Usage Source | It includes simulated usage and actual usage |
Simulated Usage | The usage data calculated according to the operating parameters of the current system |
Actual Usage | The usage data calculated according to the real meters associated with the current system (the data of "actual Usage" comes from the monitoring points of the current HVAC system). |
Finish System/Equipment/Zone Configuration
- Click "Synchronize Local Configuration"
- Click "Associate" and select the equipment system/equipment/zone you want to bind.
Note: If the equipment name are the same between Akila and the third-party system. They can be automatically bound. - Finish the whole system/equipment/zone configuration under one system.
Note: When you finished configuration, "Associated System" on the System Configuration tab displays Akila system while "System Name" and "System ID" on the tab displays third-party system information. "Associated Equipment" on the Equipment Configuration tab displays Akila system while "Equipment Name", "Equipment ID", "Equipment Type" and "Related System" displays third-party system information. "Associated Location" on the Zone Configuration tab display Akila location while "Location Name", "Location ID" and "Related System" displays third-party system information. - View data on other pages of HVAC Control Optimization.
