FAQ - Alarm Management

This page displays FAQs about Alarm Management.

Order Questions Answers
1 What types of alarms are supported? Alarms can be triggered by IoT data points (raw data thresholds), Parts Inventory (quantity), and energy consumption (percentage change or threshold).
2 Which channels can be used to receive alarm notifications? Alarm notification channels include: SMS, Email, Pop-up window in the platform, and App Notification.
3 Why are new alarm logs generated even after I closed an alarm log? Alarms are automatically generated according to the configured alarm time settings. The "Close" button only closes previously generated alarm logs but does not stop new alarms from being generated. This feature helps you identify abnormal equipment rather than just addressing individual alarms. Therefore, alarms will continue to be generated until the underlying issue is resolved.
4 What is the relationship among multiple alarm rule groups on the Alarm Configuration page? To facilitate configuring multiple alarm trigger rules under the same alarm, the system supports adding multiple rule groups within a single alarm. If an alarm is configured with two rule groups named A (with arithmetic rules A1 and A2) and B (with one arithmetic rule B1), the alarm will only be triggered when both A1 AND A2 are violated, OR when B1 is violated.
5 What is the relationship between two arithmetic rules under one alarm rule group? Both arithmetic rules must be violated simultaneously for the alarm to be triggered and become effective.
