Alarm Configuration

You can use it to:

  • Configure alarms for all IoT equipment and stock parts.
  • Monitor and resolve issues promptly.
Term Description
Alarm Type It includes equipment, part and energy usage.
Alarm Object/Alarm Object Type All IoT equipment for equipment alarm type. Parts for part alarm type. Meter/equipment/equipment system/location/zone/portfolio monitoring group for energy usage alarm type.
Configuration Status Activate Now: The alarm will be triggered once configured. The alarm status will become "Activated". "Activated" means an alarm log will be generated if the configured rule is met.

Activate Later: The alarm will not be triggered until you manually activate it. The alarm status will become "Not Activated". "Not Activated" means the alarm has only been configured. Even if the equipment matches the configured rule, no alarm log will be generated.
Alarm Rule The rules you configured for the alarm. Each Equipment and Energy Usage alarm supports up to 10 alarm rule groups. Each Part alarm supports up to 50 alarm rule groups. Each alarm rule group supports up to 2 arithmetic rules.
Alarm Rule Group If an alarm is configured with two alarm rule groups named A (with two arithmetic rules A1 and A2) and B (with one arithmetic rule B1), the alarm will only be triggered when both A1 AND A2 are violated, OR both B1 AND B2 are violated.
Alarm Notification Determines the alarm notification channels.

If these types are not associated with a monitoring point, they will not be available. When the alarm object type is meter, you can select its calculated data point. If no data point exists, nothing can be selected.
Attributes Dimension Currently, you can only select usage value. Usage value is the non-interpolated usage value.
Alarm Value Type If the Alarm Object Type is "Meter" and the Alarm Period is "15 minutes": You can select from Fixed Value, Previous Period Value, Same Period Yesterday, Same Period Last Year, and Last 30 Days Average.
If the alarm period is "Daily", you can select Fixed Value, Previous Period, Same Period Last Year, and Last 30 Days Average.
If the alarm period is "Weekly/Monthly", you can select Fixed Value, Previous Period, and Same Period Last Year.
Alarm Value/Multiplier When selecting a fixed value, please enter the alarm value. When selecting the previous period/same period last year/last 30 days average, please enter the alarm multiplier.
