Zone Information

Zones represent a group of locations that share common business or functional attributes.

For example, an HVAC zone is a group of locations that receive air conditioning from a common water loop, a lighting zone is a group of locations with the same lighting circuit, and a security zone is a group of locations covered by a specific security protocol.

You can use it to:

  • Serve as a monitoring point type.
  • Serve as a basic configuration item for HVAC Configuration.
Term Explanation
Functional System Type It can bind the zone locations to systems. It can make the locations to have the special meaning.
Basic Zone Do not associate with any functional system type. Just a group of locations

Add Zone

  1. Click "+Add".
  2. Input "Zone Name".
  3. Select Functional System Type(Optional)
    Note: If you select this one and add monitoring point of it, you can select the monitoring object and analyze its operating hours on the AI Reports & Insights page.
  4. Add Associated Location
    Note: If you select basic zone on the previous step, you cannot select associated locations. You can select from the locations you added on the Location Information page.
  5. Please note that zones cannot be deleted under the following conditions:
    The zone is associated with a monitoring point.
    The zone is associated with HVAC configurations.
